My bird/wildlife art is motivated by my passion for birds.  Having a parrot flock of five, volunteering at Liberty Wildlife working with rehabilitating native wildlife, and photographing birds are activities I pursue when not painting or drawing. My exposure to the natural world has helped me realize that most of the plights of our feathered, furred, and scaled brothers and sisters are caused by humankind. Thus, art is a way to call attention to these animals, educate others of their situation, and help in efforts made by others in conservation, rehabilitation, education, and research. SO as Carole Hillsbery says, I pursue my art with Passion, Power and Purpose.
